Offut AFB is actually in Bellvue, just south of Omaha. The SAC Museum, between Omaha and Linocoln is a great place to visit. They have an impressive collection, including a B-36. Warm and humid in August is an understatement. However, the last several winters have been fairly mild, which doesn't help with the hot, humid summers any.
