I recently had a similar choice to make, when I wore out the 350 in my
Cutlass. They wanted to put a GM 468 (454 bored) giving me 550HP, backed
by a 700R with overdrive. Sounded great. I would gain the HP but "lose"
the Olds. I've opted for a 455 instead. (The $8750 price tag helped with
my decision, but I wouldn't have done it anyway)
