Scott,

I click on the pic. Yup... Stupidity confirmed. He has DUAL Oil Filters....O.K...this I can understand...But, they're both FRAM. What's the second one for, in case the first one blows up? As if one filters worth of element eating up your engine isn't bad enough, this guy's trying for two! At least it won't destroy an Olds engine, eh?

Look again. Those are ***not*** standard Fram oil filters. They are Fram HP-1 heavy duty, high capacity racing oil filters. While standard Fram oil filters may have turned into junk, the Fram Racing oil filters are premium quality, high value, and filter very well. At Summit, they sell for $9.95.

The dual filter setup is to give double the oil filter media area to help keep the oil cleaner. It's extra insurance. That is a blown engine. It's not like any engine you may be used to. The blower can dump a lot of crap past the rings, depending on how the owner fuels the engine. Don't ever second guess a dual oil filter setup on an exotic engine. There's probably a very good reason for it.
