81CS rear gears

Hi all, I wasn't active recently, reading only passively, but....  after 
installing Moog 5660/CC627 springs ( excellent advice from G body 
specialists with madman at the top of the list in this case) and having 
already new Bilsteins, rebuild HD TH400 , 468 ci with new FellPro intake 
gasket ( another advice from another good guy from the list - no more blue 
smoke on hot engine )  I'm thinking about the rear end.
2.29 is sort of low I guess. Now, I wonder what would be the best number for 
the street driving. 3.73 would be too short, I've tried this one already, I 
hesitate in the range 2.73 to 3.23... any advice to share?
The rear end is 7.5".  I may go with a posi device ( Torsen or rather an 
Eaton ), tires are 245/60/14
