On my 72 as well I had to scrap out what wouldn't come up, then I
scrapped and sanded the areas for smooth adhere, fitted the new one around the
trunk with the ends starting at the trunk latch, then with 3M Adhesive
applied a section at a time around the trunk until the fit is satisfactory,
took about 45 min.
