Listmembers,

Nelson Specialties in Mooresville, NC does repairs and upgrades on MSD boxes.
They can incorporate the Weatherpack connector (with correct pin-outs) to a
regular 6A or 6AL, in effect making the box close to a 6T configuration minus
the added vibration-resistant material.

Since NASCAR is very particular as to just what is in the ignition boxes on
their cars (to keep people from using traction control devices for a
competition advantage) they insist that if a box is repaired it must contain
the exact
components MSD would use. Mr. Nelson Crozier has found that certain parts MSD
uses can be failure-prone, and he has found alternatives that are superior.
He will put these in your MSD box if you don't need it to be NASCAR-spec, and
thoroughly test the box before returning it to you. When I get closer to being
ready to use the boxes I have I intend to ship them all to him for a good
once-over.

However, I also have witnessed excellent customer service from MSD. Their
tech people are fantastic, and all their installation sheets are available on
their website -- if it has a way to trigger any type of ignition now, chances
are it can trigger a MSD box and they have a diagram already for it. Kevin
Wright can attest to a real odd setup for Mazda RX-7's that is used quite
often:
one box triggering two coils in parallel that directly feed one spark plug each!

Take Care,
