Most..not all...but most Lansing Michigan made 442's in 66 will have a 5V code on the data plate. 65's had 4V and 67's also had the 5V.

Other plants used this code too...but not as often as Lansing did. So its not a definite to prove a real 442 or not. Just a definite when it has the code.

Also, on the frame mounting points of the upper control arms on the early 442's. They had 4 holes...the cutlass/f85's only had 1 hole.
