Hi folks,

This past Saturday, (October 21st) I went to the Mississippi On Wheels 21st
Annual charity car show up in New Albany, Mississippi. Not a cloud in the
sky, and the high temp only reached 67ยบ. They had 185 registered entries in
56 classes at the event for their biggest turnout ever. (Cars, trucks,
bikes, emergency and military vehicles, you name it.) I took my '87 442.
The large turnout was especially surprising since it had rained off and on
every day the week before. The weatherman said Friday night that there
might be a "little fog" Saturday morning. If that was a little, I don't
want to see a lot. It was so thick the first hour of my drive I kept having
nightmares of those multi-car pileups in the Northeast you always see on the
news. Thankfully it was early Saturday morning on a Mississippi four-lane -
hardly any traffic at all.

Last year they had 136 entries at this same event. This year out of 185
entries, there were three other Oldsmobiles besides mine in the show, and
all of them won a first place trophy in their classes.

Since there were so many cars packed in tightly in a small area, I couldn't
take many photos. I *did* take a handful of some of the interesting cars
and trucks that I could get a clear view of. The link is

Thanks to Mark Tupper for posting that page, too. :-)
