Interestingly, the Caddy STS uses no key. To open it (with the fob in your
pocket) you grab the handle. It opens. When you leave the car, no need to
lock
it. Walk away and it automatically locks. Allegedly, (according to High
Point
Insurance) "the transponder on the Caddy STS is the most sophisticated
system
available on any American car. With it's rolling code, it is virtually
impossible to start the car without a key."
Of course, a flat bed truck nullifies that statement.

no kidding
they stole another of my ideas
I had that concept 10 yrs ago.
your car should get stupid and secure unless the Blessed Driver is near it.
Then smart and welcoming.
And, ck for intoxicated or stupid driving, and slow to a stop if that
occurs.
we could put a stop to police chases with a super simple kill switch that
cops can activate, kills any car in their range. Easily re-set by the law
abiding bystanders, stops the vehicle that was trying to run w/o any further
ado.
