Guys,
All I know is that this car was a 68 Olds 442, disc brake car and the # was
on the frame, facing OUT, not on top, just over the rear hump on the way
down at about 3:30/4:00 on the drivers side of the frame, stamped right in
the center of the boxed part of the frame, very clear. Maybe I got lucky and
got an easy one.

ok it is supposed to be on the TOPSIDE facing up. Start from the
very
rear corner drivers side and work your way towards the front of the
frame
start looking carefully as the frame rail starts to incline to go over the
rearend/ It is suppose to be in that incline area almost where the frame
plateaus
