Hi Folks:

Excuse the cross-posting.

My '89 Electra Estate's frame has rotted. There is a possibility that it can be repaired. Even so, I wouldn't feel safe driving the car afterwards--the problem is right next to the right rear Lower Control Arm.

In short, I am looking to see if anybody is interested in the car for parts. (I am not ready to sell yet, though. Probably soon.) It is presently on the road, has approx. 173,500 orig. kms. Vehicle had about 134,000 when I bought it.

Has an Olds 307 which leaks oil from the pan gasket. It makes some odd noises in the morning, mostly valve train I think. I have receipts for most maintenance dating back to 1989, and I change the oil on a regular basis. Does not seem to burn oil, so far as I can tell .. but uses lots. Transmission seems good.

All electronic goodies function except the radio (dies occasionally), the power antenna, and the cruise control. A new cruise control module is in the mail, it may not be here by the time the car is sold, but comes with. As does 1990 CSM if I don't get a wagon to replace this one.

At present, it is my Daily Driver, and will stay that way until I find something else. If you are interested, and in Ontario, please let me know. I can give further details if requested. Have RPO codes decoded and in a file on my computer.
