Hello
Ebay #270069029710

This is a decent 68 442 with lots of documentation.
Looking at the pictures the cowl tag is a 34487 and
matches the Vin. Many 442's have cowl tag #'s of
33487 like a cutlass vin. So were some 68 bodies
built specific to be 442's and others are Cutlass
bodies and the factory added 442, as an option?
=================
34487-E- = Linden NJ asm plant
looks like mainly [only?] the Lansing built cars used Cutlass tagged bodies to make 442's.
Even W30's.

Were some 68s made with the chrome plastic backing
plate behind the arm rests on the front doors as an
option, or only for certian pacages? Or did the
restorer miss that detail?
=================
Pretty sure all 442's and S's got the long base
I vote he missed that
He got the dash stripes right, often missing.
doors missing rubber bumper
door latches painted over striker too?
Big Car radio buttons- Big Car radio?
Dude needs to find the flash feature on his camera too.
LH side PCV vent tube might not be correct, cannot tell w/o flash photo
Ah there we go, totally hokified cut up correct tube crammed into a PCV grommet.
Wires wrapped with electrical tape instead of the correct wire wrap.
Air cleaner looks nice and correct anyhow. Rare to see that.
Flat washer under head boltstud at LF corner?

NO Hot air to the AClnr snout at all. Just gave up on that I guess.
 those pcs are hard to find.
YIKES VIN pic shows rust repair with... tape? bondo? not welded steel.
TH400 wire not run thru the proper guide hook on trans. Hokey end on it too, not sealed.

I'd agree that it's about 95% perfect, from what I have seen here.

Kerry (wish my 68 looked that great)
==================
