Fri I drove from Aurora; took a ride to Rockford, a bus to Chicago, a train to Cleveland, a trolley to the suburbs, and a ride to Mayberry. Picked up the 77 Delta and its back here loaded with spare parts. The toll guy commented on how nice it looked.
While it already has the 403, big brakes, and big axle, it will need a couple more things to become my next "police car" After some maintenance (FIRST: the timing chain), a switch pitch 400 trans will find its way in there, anyone want a good BOP THM350? Otherwise, I think this 85 Toro (in Aurora, IL) has to go. Straight but worn, the diesel engine is dead. Caliente with sun roof and digital dash, I don't think it has much value. The scrap yard may have to tow it soon, I'll grab the hydroboost brake system first. Bruce Roe
