The same exact thread shows up on classic motorcycle lists on a regular 
basis. Those of us with pushrod engines, flat tappets and cast iron cams 
need the wear protection. Be aware that Harley Davidson sells a 20W50 oil 
designed for those engines. Contrary to popular belief it's not just some 
standard oil relabeled with HD's name, it's specially formulated just for 
them. Should be just the ticket for car motors requiring the same 
protection.
