Comments on some of the clients that we tested
We tested the Whalin client. However, the performance was poor due to the large
amounts of system calls (it reads one byte at a time from the socket stream).
We also tested an simple client that was built in-house. Even though it
performed well, it had limited functionality (did not support connecting to a
Memcached cluster).
You may want check the Spy Memcached client.
