I am not sure if this idea has already been proposed, but I know that I would
love to buy one of these new tablets for my daughter and I was thinking that if
OLPC offered some for sale in the more developed countries and they charged
for 1 what it cost to make 2, that they would be able to provide even more
tablets to the developing countries, and I personally love the idea that it
would be a more 'green' tablet as well as helping other places with a purchase.
I think the hand crank and solar panels would be amazing for younger kids and
even adults working in remote locations as well. I just think that if the 1 for
2 idea was around, instead of spending our money on providing profits for big
business we could be sharing our wealth with poorer nations.
