Introduction
The SpaCCS 2016 conference is the 9th event in the series of conferences which
are devoted to security, privacy and anonymity in computation, communication
and storage. SpaCCS is now recognized as the main regular event of the world
that is covering many dimensions including security algorithms and
architectures, privacy-aware policies, regulations and techniques, anonymous
computation and communication, encompassing fundamental theoretical approaches,
practical experimental projects, and commercial application systems for
computation, communication and storage. As applications of computer systems and
networks have permeated in every aspect of our daily life, the issues of
security, privacy, and anonymity have become increasingly critical. The
conference will provide a forum for the world-class researchers to gather and
share their research achievements, emerging ideas and trends in the highly
challenging research fields.
Following the traditions of previous successful SpaCCS conferences, formerly
SpaIoT and SQC symposiums, held in Helsinki, Finland (2015), Beijing, China
(2014), Melbourne, Australia (2013), Liverpool, UK (2012), and Changsha, China
(2011), the 9th International Conference on Security, Privacy and Anonymity in
Computation, Communication and Storage (SpaCCS 2016) will be held in
Zhangjiajie, China, November 16-18, 2016. Zhangjiajie is an emerging tourist
destination famous for its unique natural scenery and abundant tourism
resources. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park was established by the State
Council in 1982 as the first National Forest Park of China. Zhangjiajie was
listed into the World Natural Heritage Catalogue by the UNESCO in 1992.
Zhangjiajie was awarded the title of "World Geological Park" in 2004. The
conference aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners in the world
working in the research fields of computation, communication and storage, with
regard to security, privacy, and anonymity aspects of computer systems and
networks. SpaCCS 2016 will focus on three broad areas of computation,
communication, and storage, i.e. architectures, algorithms, techniques, and
applications for security, privacy and anonymity.

Part II: Call for Workshop Proposals, SpaCCS 2016, Zhangjiajie, China, November
16-18, 2016
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The SpaCCS 2016 workshops provide vibrant opportunities for researchers and
industry practitioners to share their research experience, original research
results and practical development experiences on specific new challenges and
emerging issues.
The organizers and chairs of the workshop shall have responsibility of the call
for papers, forming program committee, review and selection of papers as well
as planning the workshop program. The registration fee for workshops will be
determined by the conference (not the workshop itself). The fees will be paid
to the conference, and the conference will provide workshop facilities
including the working notes printing, the meeting room, coffee break, lunch,
dinner, proceedings, etc.
The proceedings of the SpaCCS 2016 workshops will be published by Springer LNCS
series (Indexed by EI).
Prospective workshop organizers should send a proposal containing the following
information to SpaCCS 2016 Workshop Chairs:
- Title of the workshop (Full name and Abbreviation)
- Objectives, scope, and contribution to the main conference (up to 1 page)
- Short bio of the key organizers and their experience on conference/workshop
organization
- Procedure for selecting papers, plans for dissemination (for example, how to
advertise and special issues of journals), and the expected number of
participants
- A tentative list of program committee members
- The workshop website URL address
Approved workshops should strictly follow the important dates, particularly the
paper status notification and camera-ready dates. The submission deadline could
be later than that of the main conference. But a workshop should have
sufficient time, say 5-7 weeks, for generating peer reviews. Generally, each
paper should receive 3 peer reviews.
We look forward to your stimulating proposals and contributions to SpaCCS 2016
workshops. A workshop proposal should be submitted to workshop chairs via email
