Introduction Most recently, IoT applications have beenpenetrating a wide range of applications, from lifestyle through retail andhealthcare, all the way to military. Yet, for a successful mainstream utilizationof this model, the IoT adoption challenges alongside the implementation detailsof such applications should be explored more. This includes technicalissues such as hardware and software design/integration, network architectureand communication/routing protocols, security, interoperability and datamanagement, as well as the relevant economic, social and sustainability considerationsthat arise with the advent of such a distributive model. Addressing issues suchas governance, privacy and data protection regulations is also of highimportance for a true global approval of IoT.
The main goal of this project is toencourage researchers and practitioners to share their experiences and recent researchon the subject with both academia and industry.
