Dear Colleagues,
You are cordially invited to submit your chapter proposals for my forthcoming
book, tentatively entitled "Internet of Things: Challenges and Advances."
Internet of Things: Challenges and Advances
Call for Chapters
Introduction
Over the past decade, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become increasingly
prevalent in diverseareas, including industry, agriculture, lifestyle,
healthcare, and evenmilitary applications. Every day, new IoT technologies and
applicationscontinue to emerge. However, for the IoT to be efficiently adopted,
it iscrucial to keep up with recent technological advancements and
understandthe associated challenges. Moreover, it is important to examine the
social andsustainability aspects that arise from introducing such a disruptive
model.Additionally, ensuring governance measures are in place while
prioritizingprivacy and compliance with data protection regulations are
essential forgaining true acceptance of the IoT.
The goal of this projectis to encourage researchers and practitioners to share
their experiences andrecent work on the subject matter. This book aims to
analyze the state-of-the-artof IoT and its evolution over time. It will explore
recent developments as wellas challenges that have emerged (or persisted) over
the years. Moreover, thebook will explore ways in which technologies like 5G,
RISC-V, edge computing, blockchain, artificial intelligence, big data, digital
twins, and AR/VR intersect with IoT. The book will also feature real-world
examples of IoTapplications that offer valuable perspectives for both academia
and industry.
