The Artificial Intelligence in Parkinson’s Disease (AIPD) Doctoral Network is
seeking applications for a PhD position titled "Identification of Molecular PD
Endophenotypes" (AIPD-DC14-RCSI). This project aims to apply data integration
and network inference approaches to derive blood-based endophenotype signatures
for stratifying Parkinson's disease (PD) patients. The successful candidate
will analyze multi-omic datasets to identify clusters of co-expressed genes and
proteins associated with disease states, and develop AI/ML models for patient
stratification. The position is hosted by RCSI University of Medicine & Health
Sciences in Ireland, with an 18-month secondment at Petanux in Germany to apply
AI/ML techniques for predicting individual molecular endotypes. The PhD program
is set to commence in October 2025 and will span 36 months.
The PhD position is fully funded under the AIS project of the Marie
Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) program, in collaboration with renowned
Universities and SMEs across Europe.
The successful candidate will be enrolled at the RCSI University of Medicine &
Health Sciences in Ireland, with the program commencing in October 2025 and
