Since I can not be on TC ( I have a day job you know... :-D )
I'd like you all to discuss about multimedia apps, meaning
groups : sound and video,
My concern is that i can not fix/build/maintain same package in 2
repos , contrib and restricted,I just can't ...
I think you just have to pick one, IMO, for what it counts , I would better
keep plf for obvious reasons....
I propose , to choose the main multimedia stuff, and that
is untouchable , and all other players, converters, editors a.s.o
in restricted, so with this we don't really have to look out for
patented crap, even if the player/converter/editor is written in
one of the OSS languages , will need restricted codecs, and plugins in
order to
be full-featured.
Just think about it .
I know Rosa approach , but there is something else , looks like they
can afford to keep and maintain 2 verisons of the same package.
