Colin, I found an cat 5 cable so I've got internet in live mode now on notebook. So with that how do I install OM Lx 2014.1 on this UEFI system?

Thanks,
Ben

You would use rfkill right? rfkill list lists phy0 as hard blocked. How
to unblock in live mode?

Ok, I'm getting this figured out BUT there is a huge obstacle
regarding this particular Notebook (ASUS X550C). It has a bug with no
network until you run:

echo “options asus_nb_wmi wapf=4” > /etc/modprobe.d/asus.conf

Why is this a problem? Because OM Lx does not have grub2-efi on
installer you have to install it but you can't without internet. So
how can I get network to work with this problem in live mode without
rebooting?

Hi,

All I've found is the wiki page, just a start not yet finished:
https://wiki.openmandriva.org/en/UEFI

and a video which some time ago helped a friend of mine:

Not sure if there's anything anything elsewhere.

Is there a step by step tutorial/instructions for installing OM Lx
2014.1 on EFI/UEFI systems? Following the ROSA tutorial I boot live
via UEFI and install then when GRUB2 is supposed to install it gives
ioctl error. Over, and over, and over. How are other people doing
this? I'm using latest OM Lx 2014.1 downloaded via bitorrent and
installing with thumb drive. And I'm installing to a HD does that
does not contain windows. It simply will not install GRUB2.
