Hi all,
Volunteer students from Russian Higher School of Economics have
implemented a new tool for our OS named "ROSA Cloud Connector". This is
a small GUI utility aimed to simplify connection to several cloud
storage services (see

for Russian-speaking guys). Feel free to install "rosa-cloud-connector"
package and launch "rosa-cloud" command (since there is no .desktop file
yet, the tool is not added to any menu).
For services that have native clients for Linux, the tool will try to
install such clients. For services without clients but with webdav
support, the tool will mount you storage area using webdav protocol. In
any case, you will have to provide the tool with your login and
password. If you don't have ones and just want to register at the
service, then the tool is out of help at the moment, just go to the
service site and register there.
Note that the students who wrote this tool are not big experts in Linux
programming and some things might look strange. For example, the tool
will ask you for a root password at the very beginning, but this is
required only for webdav mounting and could be implemented in a more
graceful way...
As usual, all bug reports and wishes are welcome. Let's try to improve
the tool together (if we find it useful:)) The source code is now
available in ABF - https://abf.rosalinux.ru/soft/rosa-cloud-connector.
Pull requests are welcome;)
