I think it is because of forcing gcc in ruby.spec https://abf.io/openmandriva/ruby/edit/master/ruby.spec This is half year old comment: # use gcc instead of clang # main reason is ld + clang generates warning # "missing .note.GNU-stack section implies executable stack" # in checking LDFLAGS stage and lead to fail Maybe with current clang this does not occur anymore ? -- Cheers TPG
