Time is going, we are growing and developing, and almost unnoticed 2 years have passed: time for our annual members general assembly (to be held in Loomio) and elections of Council So what happens? 1. General Assembly (GA) is made by all members of the association, so we need to know first who stays in the association. 1. General assembly (GA) discusses and decides on global ways of association. Any member can suggest agenda points. 2. GA will take place in Loomio, 1 discussion/voting per issue. If you think that IRC meeting is also essential, please propose it. 3. We start preparations to elections of the Council and Bureau. Coucil is the representative and executive organ of the Association. ggestions to council ML (in adressees of this email). Council will also name the bureau amongst its members: * The President has to deal with french authorities, so certain command of French is a bonus, to say the least. (It's why until then it has been me, however the president doesn't need to be French) * Treasurer is responsible for the account and annual financial reports. * Secretary supports organizing things whenever and wherever necessary and administration. ============================================================= /!\ How it works, please pay attention! /!\ ============================================================= We collect names for 2 week from now, please send an email to [email protected] (don't pay attention if you receive an automatic moderation reply) with your name or nickname. We want to know: * If you subscribe (or renew your membership) for the next two years. In case of new member, an email with procedure will be sent. In case of no email, your subscription will be released just before the General Assembly, however a reminder will be sent within one week. Furthermore, you can (re)subscribe (or cancel) any time later, but we need to regularly clean our members database, also for administrative procedures. * If you would like to stand for being Council member. * What points you want to add to the agenda (related to the association, to the projects of the association, anything, don't be shy :) * Any comments and suggestion If any IRC meeting is needed, we can make one few days before General Assembly. However, no decision will be taken during this meeting. After these two weeks, we gather all the topics for preparing the agenda. we send all the informations to the new member lists. 7 days after, we start Loomio General Assembly: each topics on the agenda will be added in the members section of the OpenMandriva loomio account, here https://www.loomio.org/g/yipf07UB/openmandriva-association-members. Each topic will be written the same day, but will stand for discussions for three to seven days, depending on the time discussions may need. Three days is a default minimum for letting people around the globe being able to participate, but if we have difficulties to reach consensus, we will add some time.
