This I see from time to time on forum people complaining of new kernel

Is one thread but maybe not the only one. Perhaps this is because
kernel packaging (can't thank nicco to many times for his work here)
and video driver packaging are different people. I think video drivers
are usually done by crisb or tpg (can't thank either of them enough as
well)? Do we need to look at better coordinating introduction of a new
kernel and it's corresponding proprietary video drivers? Or simply a
warning that proprietary video drivers are not yet available for a new
kernel? Possibility of a mechanism in kahinah that would hold kernel
until proprietary video drivers are ready?
I suppose we could inform users that whether they are using
'mkdapplet', 'drakconf', or 'urpmi --auto-update' and they see a
kernel update but don't see corresponding proprietary video driver
then don't install the kernel? Or at least don't try to use it until
the video driver is installed? We all know how this approach will work
out in the real world...
