Yeah, I just update mine too. Same result, missing panel. So I dragged
app launcher to desktop to open applications. Otherwise seems to be
working OK.

Regarding Cooker mass rebuild does that effect whether we
should/shouldn't update cooker systems? I haven't been since
rebuild started. Notice today in VBox that it shows 1542 packages
wanting to update.
