hmmm seems like this has the potential to be a gigantic mess.
so now I have to go through all my recent commits and push them to
github? Why do we still have two writeable locations, seems like a
recipe for disaster. This was not communicated properly, it should have
been announced on the mailing list.
what happens with the file store then?
