OK, I've managed to get plasma 5.4.1 packages installed in vbox and on
hardware. Am still seeing freeze ups and segfaults on both vbox and
hardware. Couple of questions.
1. Splash screen takes over 30 seconds before desktop opens. Is this
normal? I actually get login sound (yes kde has sound now) after about
8-10 seconds but splash screen still goes for 20 or more seconds. Over
30 seconds seems like a really long time and perhaps reflects some other
issue?
2. When I install kcm-grub2 it doesn't show up in system settings. Any
idea why?
I can file bug reports on either issue if necessary.
