I think I found the cause. The execution with sudo works, its just the
multipath part which returns invalid content:

Happens when multipath is installed, but kernel module not loaded. Seems
to be default on minimal installation since CentOS 6.
I use OMD 1.0 and observation target is Centos 6.4.
