Hi, I just set up OMD and so far it works great. With a little help from you I am now monitoring 5 vmware servers, and it looks great. Now I also want to monitor some services that we depend on externally. I want to monitor that an external webpage is up.
I thought of setting up an active check for this, but I don't really understand how to do this. I go to Host & Service Parameters, and then to Active Checks, and Check HTTP Service and Create rule in Main directory. I specify the host I want to run the check on under Explicit hosts (the name of the OMD-server) In Name, I set the dnsname of the host I want to check the web service on, and the Save After that I go to Hosts & Folders and open my OMD-server, and press Services. Under Active checks I can see the one I added, but it says PEND, and "WAITING - Active check, cannot be done offline". I am sure there are some documentation I have missed, but I can't seem to understand what to do? Any pointers? Regards Roald Amundsen
