I've had this issue for a few months, when I run cmk -II on one instance, checks fail.
This is OMD 1.1 running on Ubuntu 12.04LTS. I'm using check_mk agent 1.2.2p3 but I've tried downgrading the agent several versions without improvement. The machines on this instance are all windows, 2012 to 2003. If I manually check each of the 90, I get timeouts on the 2003 machines, but newer ones respond quickly. If I restart the agent service on a 2003 it will respond but after a few days or less it stops showing any data except ping. These machines are not running a firewall. When I run "cmk -vpI" against a machine that is showing check_mk service critical, the result is "cannot get data from TCP port". But running check_mk_agent test on the same machine works fine.
