I do this regularly, with pretty good success. Please note that this
installs into the ~/local directory, so modifications you've made to
checks/templates/etc may (will?) be overwritten. If you're dicking around
with checks/templates, doing it in a separate file and linking it to the
original is probably a good idea (i just have a check list I got thru after
the updates and pull my changes out of backups).
