Found the mail plugin at share/check_mk/notifications and added following
( "hostgroup", "both", True, "Hostgroup",
"$HOSTGROUPNAMES$",
"$HOSTGROUPNAMES$" ),
I am sure there is a nicer way doing this but it works for me for now and hope
somebody will implement this + commit to master. Thanks very much for the hint,
Marcel.

Hi, can we configure the notification to include the hostgroup name in the
notifications beeing sent?
By default there is
- Host
- Service
- Event
- Address
- Date / Time
- …
When receiving a notification mail it would be very helpful to know which
hostgroup the host is child of.
Bruno
