Hi,

on 10th November I asked what do do with the "Exception in icon plugin!"
error in 2.11.<daily>-labs-edition of OMD.

Now I'm running 2.20-labs-edition and still see this error.

When I go to the host (it's the monitoring host itself, btw), I see one
CRIT line, Service "disk", Text "Exception in icon plugin!
Traceback (most recent call last): File
"/omd/sites/sap/share/check_mk/web/plugins/views/painters.py", line 148,
in paint_icons icon_output = icon['paint'](what, row, tags, custom_vars)
File "/omd/sites/sap/share/check_mk/web/plugins/icons/builtin.py", line
396, in paint_notifications modified = "notifications_enabled" in
row[what + "_modified_attributes_list"] TypeError: argument of type
'int' is not iterable [This service is flapping] Exception in icon plugin!

File "/omd/sites/sap/share/check_mk/web/plugins/icons/builtin.py", line
470, in paint_active_checks if "active_checks_enabled" in row[what +
"_modified_attributes_list"]: TypeError: argument of type 'int' is not

In front of the text there are icons for "Reschedule an immediate check"
and "View and edit parameters for this service", after the first "...
not iterable" there is an icon "This service is flapping".

The same text and icons are shown for Services labeled "disk /", "http",
"icinga", "load", "ping4", "ping6", "procs", "ssh", "swap" and "users".
These Service lines are shown as "WARNING" and "OK" respectively.

The checks I configured do not show up.

If I click on "Main Overview", I only see this host. If I click on
"Hosts" -> "All hosts" or "Host Groups" -> "Host Groups" doesn't matter,
I only see this one host with these services and texts.

Instead, I'd love to see the ~20 hosts I configured with their
respective services. Every host and service is shown fine in the
configuration part of WATO, but not in the monitoring part.

How can I get there? What might be wrong? Can it be that the change from
Nagios core to Icinga2 broke it?

I can't choose the "Classic Icinga GUI", though - it looks for
tmp/icinga/icinga.cfg, shouldn't that be a) "Icinga2 GUI" and b) some
file in the tmp/icinga2 subdirectory?

Regards
