I did the same with a SUSE10 installation.
I just made a backup in WATO and imported it in the new installation.
Worked perfectly for me.

Betreff: [omd-users] Moving a remote server to new hardware
Datum: Tue, 7 Feb 2017 09:53:10 -0600

About to move a remote distributed server from a virtual machine running
SciLinux 6.8 to hardware running SciLinux 7.3. If I keep the same
version of omd, omd-1.31.20160718.rhel6.x86_64.rpm currently installed,
will a backup from the old system restore to the new system nicely? Or
will the change from 6.x to 7.x cause me problems?
