Tyan is making a new EPYC based server chassis that looks pretty slick (24 hotswap U.2 nvme drives directly connected to the CPU - no PLX expanders required):
http://tyan.com/Barebones_TN70AB8026_B8026T70AE24HR Phoronix reviewed it today - and reports that latest OI Hipster wouldn't see the NVMe storage - I'm thinking that is probably illumos issue 8239 which is reportedly fixed: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=amd-epyc-bsd&num=1 A few questions: 1. Has anyone tried this server/motherboard with latest OmniOSCE? 2. How do you tell which illumos GIT commits go into a given build of OmniOSCE if it isn't too complicated? 3. The board has an OCP mezzanine adapter slot for network - I assume this X710-DA2 for OCP from Intel might work since the X710 has been supported for about a year now? https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ethernet-products/converged-network-adapters/x710-da2-for-ocp-brief.html Thanks, Jeff
