I knew the moment I typed that I’d sound like I was 100 yrs. old but it sounded less awkward than corded vs. cordless radio. that’s always the way my father differentiated between radios. incorrectly...a transistor radio meant cordless. I had to really hunt to find a radio that was cordless. the way they’ve been hyping this hurricane on TV, it sounds like irene is the coming of the apocalypse. we’ve never been w/out power for more than a couple of hours but this time I thought maybe I’d better scrounge for a radio...just in case.
