Hey Joe

It's GREAT to have an occasional off topic post on arts and culture. I would
hope we are not (just) sports nuts or (all) sex fiends. LOL. Thanks for the
reference.

Some of you know that for many years I traveled internationally for our
government. There are very few countries that I haven't been to for at least a
day or two. During those travels I've been schooled in many things that are
completely different to the "American" way of thinking.  Food is different;
music is different; politics are different; family life is different. The
biggest lesson I learned was that different didn't mean wrong. My family was
nearly completely gaelic (Yes, I have the t-shirt "Mom . . . Dad . . . I'm
Gaelic") and music was a big part of our lives. I learned to play many musical
instruments and was in the band in jr high, high school, and got a scholarship
in college. I sang until puberty changed my voice, but still play around with
it. During my travels, I discovered that when I don't understand the words
that are being sung, it gives me the opportunity to concentrate on the music
itself, and it was a liberating experience.

Recently, one of the roommates has been seriously obsessed with Sarah
Brightman. I don't care much for her because I think the "over the top"
theatrics of her concerts dimishes her talent which is amazing. However, one
concert in Vienna named "Symphony" introduced me to an internationally known
tenor named Alessandro Safina. He's an amazing, sexy man with a voice that can
cause orgasms simply by listening to him. I've attached some youtube vids if
anyone is interested. I apologize that it's not sports related, but he's way
too good to not share. The last two are the duets with Sarah and are what made
me fall for him like a ton of bricks. Hope you enjoy, and tomorrow back to the
sports guys, I promise!!
