well here in SE PA we're all wimps and 8" in october is a big deal.
oh...btw...our power just went off. there was a time when I would have
thought that was a great adventure. not anymore. I'm just worried I'm going
to freeze to death. lol. damn and blast!!! maybe I should go back into the
hospital. ugh!!! I used to love winter...hell...I lived in aspen, CO! I
still like a winter wonderland...but WITH all our modern amenities. grrrr!
no choice but to jump in bed and try to make some of our own heat. lol.

Grump. I don't know how long you've been up here in the Northeast but
I was just outside and this "Largest Snow Storm Ever Recorded at this
time of year" is media hype. I do remember a few THIS TIME OF YEAR
(just before Halloween I mean) in the sixties, and there is a
photograph of me and my brothers in front of a tunnel we dug in our
driveway -- just before halloween.
Don't compare to Snow Job '78 -- which was closer to Beltane, of
course. I was up visiting my folks TWO WEEKS LATER and almost got run
over by a snow plow. Definitely take care of your self but remember,
around heah eight inches is nuthin'.
