Hey Guys, I just heard about a malware threat and wanted to pass the word along as a "just in case" warning for everyone. It seems there was a group of hackers who set up a botnet and the FBI caught them about a year ago. They left the servers running until the sting was finished and they are getting ready to shut them down in July. When that happens, any computer that was infected and became part of the rogue network will cease functioning properly. I've put the link to the FBI site where you can get the info you need to find out if your computer was infected. It really only takes a couple of minutes.
One change to the instructions, though. Where the FBI tells you to run "IPCONFIG /ALL" from the RUN command, don't do that yet. From the RUN command line, type "CMD" to open the embedded operating system. It will bring you to a C:\ prompt and there may be directories in the address line. Type "CD.." until you arrive at "C:\".
