It IS always great to share information AND always enjoy your input.

Mebbe I am a lyin  waste of a man, but the pictures were more to portray the
spirit of carnavale, none of them was actually taken at an actual Mardi Gras
event.  Except for the dude in the Italian police costume.  I am SURE that one
was taken at the  Munich Fasching celebration.  Those beer hall dudes  WHEW.
LOL

So, appreciate the comments, AJ, and responding in a good humoured and fun
joking Carnival spirit!

HAVE FUN

ER,

luvly pics, they really are, thanks a lot for posting them.

Let me add a little comment; forgive me, I'm German, I couldn't fight it ;-)

Even though Cologne is a carnival stronghold (and that car is registered
there), this picture was rather shot at the Christopher Street Day parade in
Cologne. Cologne is also a gay stronghold ;-)

And unfortunately, Fasching/Karneval/Fastnacht (it's all the same) can't be
compared to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. You won't see anybody flashing for beads
- or stretching in front of cars -  no surprise when temperatures are just
between 0 and 10 ° C (30 to 50 ° F).

That's why everybode loves Mardi Gras so much... and what makes it unique,
right?

Cheers
AJ

If you haven't been celebrating Mardi Gras yet, it's way beyond time to start.
Germans have been celebrating Fasching since January 7th, the Carevale is
ongoing in Venice, even New Orleans has ongoing krewes,
http://www.mardigrasneworleans.com/mardi-gras-2013.html but will take a week
off for the Super Bowl, resuming to get all the partying and feasting in before
Ash Wednesday commences at midnight of Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday itself, February
12.

Even if you are not religious  self denial is good for you, no pain, no gain,
right?  Have fun until Mardi Gras, then start to get in shape for Spring and
Summer...
