No, this lycra stuff is inappropriate. Lederhosen has always been made of leather and changing this long time tradition is NOT a good idea. Lycra shows a man's bulge very well but I don't associate lycra with the Hofbrauhaus in Munchen (Munich), Oktoberfest and the Oompa Band. My "vote" is for keeping the tradition.
