Saturday Sport brings you a special edition today, honoring African Soccer:
The 31st edition of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, kicks oftoday, in 
celebration of the 60th anniversary of the competition.  Known as the Total 
Africa Cup of Nations,Gabon 2017 (also referred to as AFCON 2017 or CAN 2017) 
isscheduled to take place in the cities of Gabon over the next month, with 
thechampionship final game to take place on February 5th.   






The 16 Qualifiers are classified in 4 groups,and are contesting for a spot in 
the finals playoff.  The winner will qualify for the 2017 FIFAConfederations 
Cup, which will be held later this year in Russia.  






Qualifiers are:
Group A Gabon Guinea-Bissau Cameroon Burkina Faso 
Group B Senegal Algeria Tunisia Zimbabwe 
Group C Morocco Cote d'Ivoire RD Congo Togo 
Group D Uganda Mali Ghana Egypt

The inaugural match of the Total Africa Cup of Nations willtake place at the 
Stade de l'Amitié, Libreville this afternoon, with Gabonpitted against 
Guinea-Bissau.  This willbe followed at the same stadium with a match between 
Burkina Faso and Cameroonto wrap up opening day festivities.
