Mikhail"Mischa" Zverev (born 22 August 1987) and Alexander"Sascha" Zverev Jr.
(born 20April 1997) are German professional tennis players, who have made names
forthemselves.  Mischa has just knockednumber one seed Andy Murry out of the
Australian Open of Tennis, and Saschaalmost did the same to Rafael Nadal
yesterday, playing a hard fought match inMelbourne.

Both are sons ofAlexander Zverev, who was a well known tennis player for the
former SovietUnion.  Mischa was born in Moscow, andAlexander in Hamburg, after
the family relocated there in 1991.  Both brothers live in Monte Carlo,
Monaco, but compete under the German flag.  Mischais coached by his father.
Alexander is consideredsomething of a phenom on the international tennis
circuit, and it is predictedthat, in a few years, he will certainly become the
number one ranked player.  In 2013 and 2014, he was the number oneranked player
of the world juniors players, and in 2014 he began to playprofessional tennis
as well, reaching the semi finals of that year's GermanOpen.  In the tennis
world, at least, andalso elsewhere, he is the world’s most touted teenager.
Yesterday Alexander Zverev scored a Pyrrhicvictory when he won a 37-shot rally
against Rafael Nadal. The players were deepinto a fifth set by then, and the
cost of that 54-second burst of energy –which must have felt like a 400m dash
performed at full speed – left Zverevhobbled with cramp.   Nadal was thus
ableto muscle his way through to a fourth-round meeting with Gael Monfils, via
a4-6, 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 scoreline.     On apersonal level, he is single, and
in addition to Monaco, maintains residencesin Hamburg and Miami, where he is a
great fan of NBA Basketball's MiamiHeat.   The world expects great things from
theyounger brother.

It is the elderbrother, however, who is the man of the day. As Juniors, he lost
to Andy Murry in a match in 2004, near the start ofhis career.  As a junior he
compiled a123–50 win/loss record in singles (and 79–33 in doubles).  Over the
years he has been considered a goodplayer.  In 2016 he set a record
byqualifying 10 times for an ATP World Tour main draw in 1 season.
Today,Zverev upset world No. 1 Andy Murray in the fourth round of the
AustralianOpen, marking the biggest accomplishment of his career to date. He
goes on toface Roger Federer later this week.
