Sunday sees the start of the Eastern and Western ConferenceChampionships of the National Basketball Association. NBA's Boston Celtics take on the ClevelandCavaliers in Boston tonight in the Eastern Conference Championship. The Western Conference Championship's firstgame will be played on Monday night when the Houston Rockets host the GoldenState Warriors. The playoffs arestaggered, every other day on opposite days, so that pro basketball can beyours every night of the week. In India Premier League Cricket, AB de Villiers and ViratKohli combined to knock the Daredevils out of contention. Skipper Kohli and de Villiers scored fiftyapiece to help the Royal Challengers Bangalore beat the Delhi Daredevils byfive wickets in their must-win game at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in NewDehli on Saturday. The victory kept RCBalive in the tournament, even though they remained at seventh in the 2018Indian Premier League standings. Thefourth win in 11 games took RCB's tally to eight points, but they still need towin all their remaining three games to land a play-off spot. The Daredevils are 3-9 on the season, and arefinished as far as the standings go.
