Coverage of the Round of 16 in the French Open continues today, Finals are next
weekend in Men's Tennis.

Rafael Nadal is still in the game, having thrashed his friend, Frenchman
Richard Gasquet, to advance. Nadal, bidding for a record-extending 11th Roland
Garros title, was completely untroubled by the 31-year-old Gasquet, cruising to
a 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 victory in exactly two hours. Nadal has never tasted defeat
against Gasquet, winning all 16 of their matches.  Top seed Nadal won the first
12 points of the match and opened up a 5-0 led before Gasquet finally got into
the contest, but it was too little, too late for the home crowd favourite.

Also still in the competion is German Alexander Zverev, well known to readers
of this space.  His brother Mischa has already washed out.

Also ongoing, in the USA, are NCAA Baseball, Rugby and Lacrosse playoffs, which
you might be lucky enough to find on a station near you.

The NBA finals were about to be set last week, and are now underway.  Sunday
evening the Cleveland Cavaliers will face the Golden State Warriors in
California.  Stephen Curry scored 29 points and Kevin Durant added 26 to power
defending champion Golden State over the Cleveland Cavaliers 124-114 in
overtime Thursday in the NBA Finals opener.

LeBron James scored a playoff career-high 51 points in a losing cause as the
Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven championship series, which
continues Sunday in Oakland.  The Warriors seek their third title in four
seasons and sixth overall.  James is playing in his eighth consecutive finals
and ninth overall seeking his fourth career title and the second for the Cavs.
