Champions.

There are many types of champions in the world today.

Cricket's ICC World Cup 2019 is currently underway in England.  This six week
festival of 10 Nations' teams at the sport, will determine the top spot in the
world in July.

In the USA, Baseball and softball teams the nation over are currently
determining champions.  The College World Series will start later this month in
Omaha.  Right now High School and College conferences and States are playing to
the number one spot in their local territories.

The Stanley Cup finals will soon determine the champions in NHL Hockey in the
USA and Canada. Both teams come from what may be described as top sports
cities.    The Boston Bruins and the St. Louis Blues have so far each won one
game in their best of seven series, and will play again tonight in St. Louis.
Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist has been suspended for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup
Final for delivering an elbow to the head of Boston Bruins defenseman Matt
Grzelcyk.   Grzelcyk is out of game three too, because of concussion protocol.

Today's Champions, though, have to be considered those who will square off in
this afternoon's finals of the Champion's League, European Soccer's crowning
glory.  The UEFA Champions League is an annual club football competition
organized by the Union of European Football Associations and contested by
top-division European clubs.  This year's host is Madrid, Spain, but will not
include participation of last year's champions, Real Madrid.

Rather two British teams are squaring off in today's competition.  Tottenham
and Liverpool face off in Madrid, Spain at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano,
home of Atletico de Madrid. The match will bring in millions of viewers around
the world as both English clubs fight for European glory, and about 70,000
lucky fans who can watch the game from within the stadium.
