NFL Tight End Jonathan Duane "Jake" Butt was born on July 11, 1995 in Pickerington, Ohio. He was raised in that town in central Ohio, which is just west and a bit south of state capital Columbus. He was a standout player at the University of Michigan. He took with good humor the irony of a player in the position of "tight end" should have the name of "Butt." As a junior at Michigan, he won the Ozzie Newsome Award. He was selected as a first-team All-American and was named Kwalick–Clark Tight End of the Year in both 2015 and 2016. He won the John Mackey Award given to the top tight end in college football and the Senior CLASS Award in 2016. Just before the 2017 NFL Combine he underwent surgery for this ACL, and this has continued to plague him in his short, so far, pro career. He was chosen for, and is an American football tight end for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He made his professional regular season debut and first career start in the Denver Broncos' season opener in 2018 against the Seattle Seahawks and caught two passes for 29 yards in their 27–24 victory.cc On September 27, 2018, Butt sustained a torn ACL during a non-contact drill during practice, which sidelined him until now. He has played three games for the Denver Broncos, and had three starts. He hs seen preseason action every year. We wish Jake Butt the best in all his endeavors, and future success in the NFL -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "omnisport" group.
