Congratulations to Germany's Bundesliga! The Bundesliga gets back underway this afternoon after the stoppage due to the coronavirus pandemic. The first matches were begun at 15:30 CEST. Safety measures have been put in place, but we won't belabor those points. Sixty-six days have passed since Borussia Monchengladbach's 2-1 win at home to Koln on March 11. The Bundesliga is the first major league to restart. Today Eintracht Frankfurt is playing Monchengladbach, and Leipzig is playing Feiburg, among others. Tomorrow FC Koln will play Mainz, and Bayern will play Union Berlin. All games will be played with a maximum of 92 fans in each stadium... but being the only action in the world, they may have an audience of millions! It is good to see the Bundesliga take this possible risk (because someone had to...) Congratulations again to the Bundesliga on the resumption of play! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "omnisport" group.
